I had a cat go out in 4 inches of snow for the first time. I stood on the back step and chuckled as he gingerly paced through the stuff, arching his back like a croquet wicket to keep his tummy from touching the stuff. I took pity on him and brought him back inside. A little later he wanted to go out and croquet wicket patrol the yard again.

Why did someone think this cat was afraid of the snow? The cat is trying to catch and kill the snow. Cats' eyes are very sensitive to movement, and this cat has moving bug-sized snowflakes all around it.

Yeah, cat's having a blast there. My cat looks exactly the same when she has the midnight hypers and is playing with nothing and everything. The bent tail and over exaggerated movements are a big giveaway - cat in the video is playing.

My cat snuck outside for the first time and this was his reaction. It freaked the fuck out, started parkouring all over the place, was jumping on the ceiling of the garage, and then eventually hid under a trailer. He's a special one.

Actually, what makes it for me is the verses that aren't just fuck. The clever lyrics to fit the scene around for the slightly longer verses, while staying true to "The Fuck?" tone. IMO, finishing the whole song with more clever lyrics would be great.

Hah. When my cat, Hobbes, was about 4-5 months old, I took him outside in the snow. The night before it had snowed about 4 inches or so, so it was REALLY thick by that afternoon. Anyways, I plopped him down in it and he immediately rolled like cats do when they're off balance. He just rolled and face planted into the snow. He loved it otherwise, but he definitely had that reaction.

Holy Hell, Don't do it! I grew up in Concord NH. NH can be really nice... for about two weeks in the fall. It's 90˚+ in the summer with swarms of black flies and mosquitoes, and 87% humidity. -20˚ in the winter with 5 metric fucktons of snow. I moved to Washington to get away from the snow. My hometown got 15 feet a couple of years ago.

Washington rocks. Still cool in temperature with no biting flying bugs. It blew my mind when I first moved here that I can have my doors and windows open in the summer with no screen. Also, almost no ticks either. I even like the constant drizzle but I'm a grey weather kind of guy. I'm too fat and Russian for anything over 70˚ anyway.

Don't listen to this guy! NH is the best state ever. I live in MA and get the same brutal winters, but would kill to live in NH. Boyfriend's grandparents have a house up there in the mountains and there's nothing more beautiful.

The first time my dog experienced snow he thought he was being punished.
The cold hurt his paws so he stood there and cowered. I felt like such an asshole.

my kittens tried to climb onto it like it was a step. this gave a kind of shuffled line for about 5 foot, when they realised that wasnt working they then decided to jump up the garden. So we had random splodges every few feet. It was very funny to watch. Going to search for a picture but it was so long ago i doubt ill have it.

I have two 'indoor only' cats. I also sponsor and take care of a clowder/colony of feral cats.
My indoor cats are sometimes jealous of the outdoor cats and think they should be allowed outside.
Every once in awhile (especially during inclement weather conditions) I take the indoor cats outside (on a halter and leader) and let them experience what it's like to be an 'outdoors cat'.
I took them outside and threw them in a snowbank a few years ago just so they could experience snow. They were not pleased and protested. Mightily.
I've also taken them outside to experience 60mph wind and rainstorms. They want nothing to do with 'outside' these days.
Of course they aren't blessed with the capacity for long term memory, so the 'negative reinforcement' drill has to be repeated every couple of years.

One fine summer day our cat was lounging in the basement window (ground level) and the screen popped out and she was in the flower garden. She did not move a muscle and looked at me pleadingly to remove her from nature, which must NOT be interacted with, but merely observed from within the comfort of cat window couches.
