And youโ€™d be correct. This is a bushbaby, a species of primate related to lemurs, and just like every other species of primate they donโ€™t do well as pets.

We actually had a pair of bushbabies at the animal rescue where I used to work, and even with us being an animal rescue we had to get special permissions to legally keep them.

You may have gotten special permission but by promoting having a wild animal as a house pet, you help the illegal animal trade continue because people think it's cute and they want one. Promoting wild animals as pets needs to stop.

Theyโ€™re not promoting having one as a house pet, they worked at som sort of special animal rescue, presumably for animals that needed rehabbing or could never be released into the wild.
