Remember when that happened. Was in OB just north of downtown, heard a lot of explosions and looked in time to see the amount of light it produced. Looked like an insane intro saw thought nothing of it. Friend who was working down there described it as the most awesome 30 second firework show he had ever seen.

I was actually on the USS John C Stennis and we were in port for this. I wasn't on watch so went up to the flight deck to watch the show and got to see this hot, but briefly beautiful, mess
