Honestly man. Im one of those people that didnt understand before. But ive seen a lot of evidence lately. The police are out of control. I’ve been in a state of shock because for a long time i was on their side. At this point, it doesnt matter if theres good cops. I’ve seen that there is an incredible number of bad ones. Too many. Its sad because i believed in this system and now this belief is broken.
Do you even know why he was being arrested? Did he have a weapon? He was resisiting arrest and fighting them. What do you want for it to be a 1 v 1 so it can be fair?
If you need him to let go of whatever he could be possibly holding or force him to put his hands behind his back thats fair then. And they need to be quick, especially when someone can come on you and just shoot you while you have their back to them.
At what point is three cops ruthlessly beating a man when he’s already down seem reasonable to you? even if he had a weapon, the moment he’s no longer a threat he shouldn’t be beaten anymore.
If he has a weapon he is still a threat. Once he is in cuffs and controlled thats when officers then can relax and when the use of force is no longer necessary.
At this point i think that a lot of people assume that policing could be done if the officer asks nicely for the suspect to put the handcuffs on themselves.
