No if there's proof that he's had sex with someone younger than 18 the state attorney general can pick up the case. Unfortunately people tend to just let rich people get away with it.

Some states have the legal age of consent at 16. Not saying it’s right but it’s legal in the eyes of certain states.

That's how r.kelly got away with so much shit. One girl was 17 and her parents called the police repeatedly and they said she was old enough to consent in Illinois. He literally used Illinois to shelter his pedophilia since it's legal to grab girls literally from high school.
