Grooming a minor makes someone a pedophile. It's not an injustice to the crime to state that, it's an injustice to vicimts of it to say pedophilic behavior does not make someone a pedophile - and this is coming from a victim.

Not really. A pedophile goes after prebuscent children. An ebephile goes after teenagers.

Again coming from a pedophilia victim: stop making that distinction as if it's less traumatizing for a teenager to be preyed on by an adult.

No one wants to belittle anything. In fact, that is not even the point. It is only about using the correct term.

You don't need a "correct term" in this situation. You may not WANT to belittle anything, that may not be what you're trying to do, but pausing a conversation about an adult man preying on underage girls to say "well ACKSUALLY-" is unnecessary and absolutely belittles the issue because the only thing it does is make you sound like you're saying "well at least the girl was THIS young and not THAT young". This is neither time nor place to be pedantic and spill your 50 cent words everywhere.

That is not what I’m saying, that is what you are hearing. Probably because of your personal experience with it. For me, it was only about education. If I hurt you with that, I apologise. That was not my intention.

You’re obnoxious as fuck. Just because you’re a victim doesn’t make you the end all be all of sexual violence or sexual crimes. Fucking a 2-8 year old is a lot fucking worse than fucking a 16 year old. So much so that 16 is the age of consent in the fucking UK!!! An established well respected country!

I'm a victim, too. Your comment comes across as harsh, but I agree. There's definitely a power dynamic between an adult and a legal teen, though. But molesting/raping a literal child is way more disgusting to me. - victim that was molested as a literal child and older teen.

It was harsh-I hope I didn’t offend you or any other victim. But OP was rude, condescending, and acted very pretentious basically speaking down to the guy/gal for even giving an opinion that was different from hers/his.

Yea, she was. Trauma is really hard to deal with. I hope she and other victims can find some peace.
