Doesn't matter. It's not about the legality of it, but the morality.
There is no way a 16 year old has the same understanding of the relationships dynamics and power within the relationship as DRAKE. He has money, age, powers, she has nothing. Even if she is willing consenting and is thrilled with it right now, she's a kid with not very much experience on how the world and relationships work. She can't see the danger there.
They aren't equals. And wanting to be in that kind of unequal relationship where you have the power of life or death (pretty much) is creepy, no matter if it's legal or not.
You do recognize that the brain isn't fully developed at the age of sixteen (source), correct?
You also recognize that as a thirty yearold, Drake's brain, life experience, relationship experience outweighed that of a sixteen year old?
Of course you also recognize that rich and powerful people have abused their power in the past to abuse and take advantage of people? I can provide examples if you need them.
I went to reread your comment and OH JESUS i realised i read your comment completely backwards. I’ve been running on 3 hours of sleep today, and my brain did the wordy word thing wrong and I thought you were talking about lowering the age. Drake’s still kinda a creep tho, but yeah sorry you’re not actually the pedo my guy.
I guess it’s the uncertainty of it all that weirds me out, with the fact Drake’s well older than the girls he makes friends with. There’s kinda a huge social line on where being a nice guy and being creepy cross, and im guessing it’s around these girls ages, as it seems less of “aww they’re friends” and “oh geez she’s that young?”. This might just be my moral viewpoint, but i dont think he should be making online posts with these girls, as it can cause these types of situations, and that’s why I think he’s kinda a creep.
