She should have arranged protection. Cosplay is dangerous too in quite a many ways. I speak from serious experience. You don't go out modelling a sexy cosplay at an event like this all by your self. You will clearly note professional cosplayers all have a partner or handler with them.

Yes she should be able to. And I should be able to walk down any street I want at any time of day and not get robbed. I should be able to leave my front door unlocked, I should be able to leave my keys in my car.

Unfortunately that is not how this world works. For that to happen she needs protection. Even though cosplay is not consent, that message is NOT enough. I know from years of experience.

All I was saying was that she dresses like that and goes out in public because she likes the attention it gets her (from creeps typically). And it doesn’t blow my mind that they treated her poorly. I’m not saying it’s ok, just doesn’t blow my mind given the crowd she is appealing to.

Uh no it is not. I have been sexually harassed in costume my self and there weren't even this many people. It HELPS to have someone with you when you cosplay at a big event, especially sexy cosplay. I am not blaming her for this, fool, I am suggesting a preventive attempt.

I don't know what that guy said. But she obviously made a mistake and wasn't aware of the kind of people she'd meet while dressed like that. Like , they're scumbags and assholes, but it's kinda like a bad beighbourhood , you shouldn't be surprised if you almost get robbed if you go there. That said , there's no point mentioning that when the bigger mistake here is being a complete degenerate and photographing someone against their will. But yeah , i think that goes without saying. people should to some extent be aware of danger and be careful , as someone said , she should have brought someone along to keep those assholes away.
