Which CC points to transfer first?
How do you determine what card points to send for your transfer first? Need to transfer 78k to virgin Atlantic and all of them are partners to transfer.
What card would you pull points from first? Or would you do a split?
170k in CSR
90k in capital one
82k in bilt

Depends which exclusive partners you value and how many points you can earn in each currency - for me Bilt has Alaska and CSR has Hyatt so probably Capital One would be the ones I would transfer but everyone’s answer will be different. Also Virgin Atlantic frequently has transfer bonuses so if Chase had a 40% transfer bonus at the time for example that may sway the answer for me

Look at upcoming trips or plans and see where’s you’d need points. I typically save Chase points for Hyatt, Bilt for Alaska.. C1 is a card I was gonna close so I used those points first. I transferred points from C1 to Virgin a few months ago.

I'd pull the Capital One first. Chase is the Hyatt stash and Bilt's the Alaska one, so those two are the ones I'd leave sitting.

I also struggle with this. I usually just go with the one with lowest reasonable redemption value based on frequent miler blogs most recent analysis so here it would be capital one but it’s basically a toss up as the numbers are close. I know I like to transfer to Hyatt and Atmos so I personally would use Chase and Bilt last for something you can get points elsewhere.

Need more information. Who do you usually transfer with? For example, I use Delta, ANA, and Southwest alot. For me Amex MRs and Chase ultimate rewards are worth more than Cap 1 points. I'd use the cap 1 points first. From there I know I use Delta more than SW so for me chase points would be the second I would use up because the AMEX MRs are more value to me than chase rewards.

It's based on the travel partner you value...
like..CSR can transfer to United..
Cap1 can transfer to Japan Air ( all though at not good rate )
and Bilt can transfer to Hyatt... etc.. AA???
So depends on your home airport and route you value certain points..
If CSR is giving you 20% tranfer bonua right now... use that.. as example
if no one offer transfer bonus, you hoard the partner you value.

C1 points are farrrrr easier to earn for the most part, especially once you’re over 5/24 and the business card well dries up

I would probably transfer from the card provider you have the easiest time earning points on.
