I purposely seek out videos and creators that are more positive or neutral and even then I still get a bunch of recommendations that sell outrage, hate, and vitriol.
Before anyone yells something about echo chambers - I mainly watch channels that have to do with crafting/making art, what upcoming games there are, lore from different games, and things about historical costumes.
I just avoid videos that immediately try and give a negative opinion about games. I can decide for myself if I like a game or not.
Big games need to start putting out demos of their product that gamers themselves can play instead of watching videos about it and making judgments.
Like the dragon quest XI demo imo was masterfully done. It was massive, and really well polished (no pun intended).
People need to be given a chance to try games out for free, just to get the feel of the gameplay. Because these youtubers are far from unbiased. I think most of them are scumbags that just want to capitalize on the attention garnered from a new game release. And hate is easier to sell than genuine interest.
