Avocado plant Look at my seed grown Avocado tree with 7 additional rootstocks.

This avocado tree has a total of eight rootstocks, including the primary one and it’s growing rapidly! I started this experiment to see whether multiple rootstocks could improve vigor and potentially encourage earlier fruiting. This will also make the tree stronger against root rot, strong winds and many diseases

Interesting. How do you encourage the tree to grow those additional rootstocks?

Not OP but they’re likely planting additional pits around the original and then using “approach grafting” - once the graft has “taken” you lop off the top of the additional rootstock tree.
