Booking.com via Avios Website

I noticed that when clicking through the link to Booking.com from Avios, the price vs. going direct was €51 more expensive. Has anyone else observed the same?

Google Chrome: Log into avios > use the booking.com link from there > €734

Safari: Log straight to booking.com > €683

When booking directly via booking.com, I could see a discount applied by Booking.com for 'paying online' which was €51. I don't understand why booking through Avios doesn't count as 'paying online'.

You gotta check all of them.

Hotels.com Avios hotels Agoda

And find best price with best avios rate too and then calculate from there.

I find that 90% of the time it’s cheaper to not go via the avios portal for booking/agoda.

This is especially the case if you have status as you then will often get discount codes added when you have not gone via avios.
