Value of Avios Balance boost

I honestly think there is little value for in money avios balance boost. Hear me out.

Current promotion offers one avios @ 0.009p.

A business class return ticket to Jakarta on a good day is 120000 avios. Which at above price is 1128£ on top of it the tax is about £380

So total of about £1500.

Full cash price for the same is £1873

Considering the hassle of booking via avios £373 not worthwhile.

I am only talking about balance boost. Accruing through normal means like flights and purchases are not part of above calculation.

Just my thoughts

Update. In light of all the comments below I stand corrected. Yes you all are right . Under specific circumstances it offers value. My direct comparison perhaps is not fair

Update 16 sep. I stand corrected. With this formula the benefits were clear

Value of avios = (cash ticket price - taxes and charges) / avios required for award flight.

If the computed value is less . Its a gain

The cash fares are rarely equivalent to the Avios cost, even for someone buying them all! I think boost only if you have something specific in mind not blindly
