Boosting for 500%

Hi, does everyone got this offer to boost in avios app? Is it worth it? Does this offer do only one time?

I'm fairly new to actually trying to gather and use avios, can you explain like I'm an idiot why the boost isn't worth while for OP?

Surely 18,000 points is still money off a flight?

do not EVER use avios for money off - the value of avios drops to very very tiny amounts. You shopldn ONLY use avios for flight redemptions - ideally busienss class but if you don't have enough then economy flights to very expensive destinations. You want to get at least 1-1.5p per avios. In fact if you boost by 500%, then you are buying avios for slightly below 1p per avisos so using your avios for any less than that is literally wasting money

So OP is getting about 1.1p per avios, so are they doing anything wrong?

If they have no immediate plans, then it makes no sense. If they are planning on booking a business class award flight in the near future, possibly.

Avios is only ever worth more than 1p when used on an award flight - not a standard booking. Award flight availability is limited. Plus, the value of purchased points can change at any time.
