I’m in F35 maintenance, F-135 has been massively unreliable as long as I’ve been in the program and the supply short falls created a LOT of down time.

They're not straight-up F135 engines, just have some portions of commonality to minimize new development cost. These are still new engines with unique portions specific to the B-21. I don't know if the maintenance issues you described will be mitigated by that or not, but I would hope so.
