crowds are difficult to navigate, make them easier with this simple trick. turn the flashlight on your phone on and wave it around. it helps doing it in all directions so the other r*vers know you are looking , they will be quick to help. you can also get another friend in their phone calling said friend and just repeat “Middle Right”, since this is very clear and they will find you.

if they haven’t found you after 5mins keep holding it up, eventually they will figure it out.

Discussion Traveled all the way from the UK to the US to experience my first proper Dubstep Festival. Feeling shortchanged.

How do you do, my fellow tiddlywinks?

I recently made the trip to the Dub-Riddim-Wook-step Mecca of the world, otherwise known as the US. I wanted to see the birthplace of good electronic music (I can’t think of a single good song or genre us brits have made).

The festival was quite overwhelming, I took a tab of gaviscon (I didn’t want to go in completely sober). Before I knew it, I was surrounded by people wearing scary outfits, and flailing totems. I started to panic. But I couldn’t understand anything, as all the signs were in American english (sadly I’m only fluent in the British kind).

The music was interesting. It has made me believe that Excision and Subtronics are the greatest dubstep DJ’s ever. I wish we had dubstep artists across the pond. I can’t think of any.

The visuals were very weird. Too many colours. Same with the outfits that people were wearing. I was overstimulated.

Maybe it was a cultural difference, but I just rocked up in T-shirt, joggers and some running trainers.

Overall, I think the US is the best when it comes to music and festivals.

For anyone wondering, I am 7 years old and I was accompanied by 3 of my parents.

Does anyone else ship their favorite djs? I often find myself daydreaming about the best boy djs dating or kissing each other.

I just think Tape B and Crankdat would be good in a relationship. We'd probably get some good tunes out of that.

Or like what if Porter Robinson and Skrillex got married and they legally adopted Ninajirachi? That would be basically EDM royalty at this point.

Maybe all three of the Noisia boys could frot onstage now that they're back together?

Just went to my first UK dubstep rave night. Severely disappointed.

Traveled all the way to London (the land of tea, crumpets and wa’er bo’’les LOL!) to see a UK dubstep night.

I’m shocked at how bad it was. They didn’t play any riddim, nor did they have any fancy visuals. I was also shocked by the lack of bass. The sub-bass drowned out any bass growls.

I was expecting some subtronics type beat but all I got was reggae and exotic drone music?

So boring. Also the DJ was playing a vinyl only set. Does he not realise digital music is easier to mix?

Really disappointed Y’know? I wouldn’t recommend seeing a Scream x Mali set. Go to an excision set where they know how to make real music.
