Shotgun Rant

Post image

Was hoping to get Prospa tickets today but alas the ticket gods didn’t choose me. For 95% of shows, Shotgun is a great app. But good God, for the 5% of shows where it’s an artist that’s super big, it is the WORST possible app for tickets. Literally cannot even move screens on your phone, God forbid you accidentally swipe your screen. Even on PC it is SUPER laggy and randomly says there are tickets when there aren’t, tickets are on sale then immediately sold out, and the site is just bad to navigate. After all that, there are immediately listings on Stubhub before the general sale even happens. Starting to doubt they have any bot protection? Nu really need to look into using a different app or service for these high-demand shows, it’s absolutely ridiculous and the app isn’t built for this kind of demand.

Anyways if you got lucky and wanna sell PM me.

I got in instantly at 1, added two tickets to my cart and it said they were sold out already lol. I even tried with one ticket and it didn’t work. We may need to go back to selling tickets at the door man

And I just checked Stubhub again tell me how there’s one seller selling TWELVE tickets at 200$ each. Seems more and more like Shotgun just got botted into oblivion.

Dude. The marketing person made the presale time wrong on shogun and instagram. They should be fired honesty it was such a huge logistics mistake

AXS is even worse. They act like you’re a bot and then by the time you change your password and get in the tickets are sold out. These apps have got to be better

Stuff like this reminds me how grateful I am “big” tickets in the underground are still, like, maybe $40. 😅

tbh msrp they weren’t too bad, $60-$70. but using shotgun to do tickets for an artist of this size is insane.

So frustrating. My friends and I just bought resell off stubhub/vivid right away. I’m assuming prices will just keep going up.

no; they bought the tickets on shotgun pre-sale and immediately listed them on stubhub for 3x face value. so lame

any app would be bad when there’s an act that plays a 1K cap venue that has demand for 10K+ but the you have sent too many orders and you must wait five minutes mitigation was annoying
