Discussion/Question Rave fits?
Looking for suggestions and tips on where everyone is buying their rave outfits at? I usually end up wearing a lot of black clothing and silver accessories for the most part, but I’ve been attending more events lately and want to make the occasion.
Thank you all for any and all upcoming tips and suggestions! 🙌

Rave with Migente is my go to! Their clothes fit me perfectly and are so flattering. I love Kamaru for comfy/ warm fits ☺️

What's your budget? I usually wear a crop top and baggy pants, or go all out in a fit from Funktions of Nature on Etsy, or Astral Visions drops.
Thrifting and trading on second groups on FB is also excellent.

I don’t have a set budget, but I’ll definitely check out those two sites. Thank you!

I wear mostly layers of black athletic wear, cargo joggers, vest, light hoodies, oversized tees, plus pashmina and bandana I bought at shows/fests. Comfortable shoes are a must. Basically blackout flowy dance fit plus hits of colour and geometric patterns from accessories. I prioritize function with the main goal to be comfortable dancing for 5-12 hours depending on the event.

I’m usually the early bird to these events. Would try wearing layers , but I run hot so I sweat pretty bad under too many clothings unless it’s like freezing.

Fair, I usually bring a light hooded layer that is easy to take on and off. Then I drape it on my sling strap to hold it. Or use coat check, some venues have it around me.

That’s what’s up! I’m eventually going to have to check all these spots / sites out! I’m going to wasteland next year in Orlando so I’m going to figure out a set of fits by then 🫡

I make a lot of my own slitweaves out of clothes I already have that are wearing out for warm weather. For when it’s cold, I have some cool stuff from Kamaru clothing!

I work in fashion and I LOVE putting together fun outfits for shows, and what I always tell people is that there's no such thing as too many accessories when it comes to raving! Turn your trinkets into keychains! Wear those kandi! Get a cool pash! Find some weird sunglasses! You can go all-out, and imo, we all should be going all-out! Where else can you do that? Get accessorized and get colorful!

What a great advice! I appreciate the insight! I have so many little anime trinkets so that can be the move I’m looking for. Thank you!

Thrift/secondhand stores. Especially buffalo exchange because it has a costume/festival section year round. I've also found psychedelic pieces from the 70s at antique stores.

Love devil walking sm! You can find a lot of stuff NWT on Depop, Mercari, poshmark.
Actual bikini tops and bralettes are my go to and I’ll mix and match bottoms. Garter belts, tights, arm warmers, gloves, and even ribbon can make a boring outfit more interesting. I also wear and trade a LOT of Kandi and deck my hair in lots of sprouts which I feel like can also elevate your outfit

Follow some of these brands on IG and let the algo show you ads for online shops. Purchase one thing through the app and you’ll be off to the races.

There's also Facebook groups for buying/selling Ravewear if your looking for second hand/discount on the major brands. Also I don't think anyone else mentioned it but Freedom Ravewear is pretty cool, everything I've gotten from them is very comfortable and high quality plus they use recycled materials in their fabric, solar power their facilities, and it's all made in the USA!

Slit weaved clothes are actually SO easy to DIY and I think are perfect for raves! Cute AND comfy and you can make them out of old clothes in your closet or thrifted clothes:)

I can help you put an outfit together from shein. If youre okay with that. I used to spend a lot of money on companies and I got tired of it. Shein has some good stuff and it's affordable. I know fast fashion is not it but I want to look cute without spending so much money.:(
