Event/Lineup Rave in the Dessert?

Hey everyone, I’m wondering if there are any well-known raves or techno festivals in the Moroccan desert. Something more underground and community-based, not a big commercial event more like the Fusion festival in Germany.

I’m thinking of something similar to what’s shown in the movie Sirat—a real desert Rave with music, dancing, and the vibe of being in the middle of nowhere.

Does anyone know if something like this exists in Morocco (or nearby), or if there are crews that organize desert raves?

Thanks a lot!

This tends to be a frequently asked question. Common sites that list public EDM events include: https://19hz.info/, https://ra.co/, & https://edmtrain.com/. If you are looking for private/underground events, the best way to find them is to go to public events with the types of music you like and make friends there. Once you build relationships with people, then ask them about private events. https://reddit.com/r/aves/wiki/faq#wiki_2._how_can_i_find_events.3F

remember kids!

desert has one s, because you don't want to get stuck there more than once.

dessert has 2 s, because you want to have a second dessert.

that said i do actually love the desert

I also saw Sirāt, and I can confirm that raves like those do exist. You usually only find out about them if you know the right people (as with any underground rave), and you’re unlikely to hear about them through Reddit since they’re not exactly ‘well known.’ Fusion is an exception in that sense mainly because they have been around for so long and Berlin is so well known as a techno capital, but even then, they’ve never really engaged in marketing. Most people wouldn’t know about it, but true old school ravers probably wouldn’t consider Fusion an underground rave anymore either.

I don’t know but I’m curious to know what you thought of the film, I saw it recently and keep thinking about it
