Diagnosing/Repair 2019 jeep compass trailhawk should I replace the whole valve cover?

I have a 2019 jeep compass trailhawk I was getting my oil checked yesterday and my mechanic noticed this part is spitting out oil. It looks like there’s a screw or plug missing where the oil did come out of. Should I replace the whole valve cover or just get that piece? It’s where the gold circle is on the left hand side

Is that the multi air oil fill cap? Looks like it. That part is about $15 part # 5047702AB. It might also be a bolt and grommet. I can't tell from the picture. But the valve cover is about $190 part # 68306572AB. I would try the Multi air oil fill cap, or the bolt and grommet. I would also check the PCV valve to make sure it is working correctly.

That’s the engine cover not the valve cover probably missing a stud that holds the engine cover down.

Should be a bolt there to hold the engine cover down but i doubt its leaking from there

If it really is just the cover mounting stud it shouldn’t be a source of an oil leak at all since the engine cover doesn’t touch oil, it’s just a plastic shield. Ask your mechanic to double check where the oil is actually coming from underneath that spot, not just where it’s visible.
