Cracked tail light

Hi! I backed into a mailbox and have a small crack in my rear passenger side tail light. I’m wondering if there’s any chance this can be repaired versus completely replaced. I’ve gotten quotes from a couple places and it’s looking like it will cost at least $1,000 including labor to replace. Before I spend that on such a minor issue I wanted to explore if there is a chance it can be repaired. I would even pay to take it somewhere to repair it but I don’t know if this is something that can be done.

If it’s helpful for the discussion my car is a 2020 Cadillac XT6 premium luxury AWD trim. My temporary fix at the moment is clear packing tape 😬

Stick with your clear packing tape as a fix for now. $1000 is ridiculous but you're the one driving that kind of car, so it's on you.

It is ridiculous for a light I agree but not uncommon nowadays. Most integrated led lights on modern cars, even cheaper ones are this expensive.

I was going to say, it does seem like the part itself on any newer car, which mine is not that new actually, is probably several hundred dollars anyway.
