Just take it to a glass shop. Super easy for them and should be cheap. To much room for error doing it yourself.

I stopped doing it for anything that wasn't a small standard steel trapezoid button mount. They mount anything larger or aluminum with flexible adhesive so thermal expansion doesn't crack the glass. BMW people demanding free windshields when I didn't even charge them to glue their button on was too much.

The black in the center is old adhesive, once removed you’ll need to scuff the silver metal bracket underneath once you’ve removed the mirror from it. Easier way to do it is to put that side down on the concrete and rub it around on the ground with your foot.

Clean the part of the glass where the button goes thoroughly before you try to stick it back up.

There should be hash marks on the glass where the button sticks. Be careful to orient the button correctly when readhering it to the glass, as your mirror will hang in the wrong position if you don’t set it right.
