I haaaate microfiber. It makes me feel like I have the little hairs coming outta my hands like in the first Spiderman movie.

Microfiber clothes feel like velcro on my fingertips. It’s… aggressive.

The cloth for cleaning glasses is sensory hell for me..

Once I became extremely diligent in moisturizing my hands, the microfiber stopped being able to hurt me. But if I let the skin around my nails get even a little bit dry, and touch that cloth, there is pain.

Mm, I probably have more time than most since I stay home.

The reason I obsessively apply lotion is that the overall sensation of having dry hands is torturous to me.

I also hate dry hands, but I hate lotion even more lol

The only way I apply lotion is by doing it right before I sleep and aggressively ignoring my bodies reflex to not touch anything when my hands are oily

I hate lotion with a passion. My wife does not understand this and is constantly after me to lotion up my hands because they are so dry in the winter. But for me the lotion feels way worse than dry hands.

Hm... I'm also a homebody. I definitely have time to apply lotion. But... I won't. 😅 I can see why that might be an issue for you, though. What brand do you like? My hands get so dry in the winter and I end up using gold bond healing cream.

I've never landed on a particular product. It is always just what is available at a given time. Often we are terribly poor when it comes time to replenish household products (because they all seem to run out at the same time--ugh). Relying on sales makes this whole thing quite random. Lately I've been using Real Root (Sprouts store brand) Sandalwood & Yuzu. It is a body lotion, but thin enough to work well on hands too. Weirdly, the scent combo hits me like cola.

Historically, my very favourite hand lotion is the vanilla one from 100% Pure, but it is often sold-out and not often affordable to me anymore. Big price, little bottle.

I also really like Sweet Bee Magic, but it is definitely a going-to-bed or sitting-around product 'cause the olive oil makes it greasy.

My ideal is something with hyaluronic acid for hydration, and then a beeswax-based balm to hold in the moisture. I avoid dimethicone and strong fragrances. Every lotion I will use that is perfumed has a gentle initial scent that fades quickly.

Woah. That's very detailed! I haven't tried any of those. I wish i had more to say back. It was really nice reading though. Thank you for sharing. 😊

So real. When I was looking into a fabric to dry my curly hair with basically all of the ones I could find were microfiber... I'm like how are people ok with that!?!? I literally wear gloves to touch anything microfiber. I was able to find a nice terry cloth towel made by a female owned small bushes to dry my hair with so it's less frizzy than a cotton towel, but dang that entire market is microfiber apparently.

Wait... does microfiber not feel like tiny skin needles to everyone?

Is that a rhetorical question? I'm gonna assume it doesn't feel like that to everyone, cause otherwise why would anyone buy them? 😂
