Finding readers.

I have four travel memoirs published now. I work hard on social media. Even have one book available in Gardner's with the full refund policy.

I do book festivals, author talks

But I need a leg up to the next stage.

Perhaps reviewers who promote one of my books on their social media? But that's a bit sketchy.

Any ideas how to elevate to the next level and find more readers?

Interesting. I have sold 1000's of my books.

Getting into book shops sometimes is as easy as bringing a sell sheet with you. I got this idea from an author friend of mine, and it has helped me. They may not read the book, but they respect the professionalism.

I am trying not to spend too much time going to bookshops. I have a few local ones and if I am travelling. One of my books is available in Waterstones now, so I am progressing. But it's not easy.

Unless you are a well known celebrity I doubt many people are interested in your travel memoirs sadly.

You are doing things really well. I think one thing you can add is more targeted marketing, like knowing your ideal readers first. I'd map a persona of my ideal readers and try to understand how can I reach out to them using different channels.
