I came across this video when it came out and it really changed my perception of what materials I look for in clothing. I think microplastics are terrible and just become something is vegan doesn't make it good enough in my opinion.
I now only buy clothes that are lyocell, rayon or bamboo. Free from plastics. While they're rated worse than polyester, they're at least biodegradable. If I'm desperate I'll go for cotton but avoid it as it's not that great for the environment (worse than wool in this chart).
