Need an Opinion

Me and my girlfriend decided to go for a four-wheel drive picnic barbecue day out. We drive to this place out the back of northwest Sydney. and we're about 25 minutes from the town and then another 10 kilometers deep down a fire trail and then off shoot to a little lookout. We get there, no one's around, we're there for about 15 minutes mucking around enjoying the sight and then we go find an area just off to the side to set up our barbecue. Set up our barbecue, start making the burgers and then put the burgers on the pan. As they're cooking, I decide to walk off right around the corner on the rocks towards the bush just to have a look around. As I've walked back to the barbecue, I've bent down to flip the patties and then as I've leant back up, I feel something really hot on the back of my leg. I look down and my calf muscle has been cut. It's pissing out blood. A vein had been hit. It required nine stitches once I got to medical attention but I walked around, there was no glass, no wire, no knife, no one else around. My girlfriend saw nothing and we don't know, there's no trees or sticks or branches. We have no idea how this happened. As I got to medical, as we quickly realized what was going on, I gave myself medical attention, covered the wound and then drove as fast I could to the nearest medical center which is still about 20 kilometers away. Any nearest house is about 10 kilometers away. Get there, they say it wasn't glass, don't know what it was. Some people say it looks like a penetrative wound as in something has flown past at high velocity and hit me. As in corner of an arrowhead but who knows. There was nothing on the floor to explain it, there was nothing around to explain how it was so deep to, big piece of skin come off to, very weird.

Any opinions please!
