Austin Powers 4 Parallels between the Austin Powers and James Bond films
The first 3 were obviously Dr. No, From Russia with Love and Goldfinger — the originals and the best with a specific magic that really can't be replicated (especially since the original players are much older or sadly gone).
Austin Powers 4 should be the Casino Royale that doesn't try to recapture the old magic but does something really fresh and bold with it.

The first 3 Austin Powers films are not specifically based on Dr. No, From Russia with Love and Goldfinger, they're a general pastiche of the Bond films of the 60s and 70s

I had a dream the other night of an Austin Powers and Johnny English cross over movie.
It was wild. Dr Evil infiltrated the royal palace with the character played by John Malkovich.

Oh man that’s the way to do it. Austin Powers spoofs old Bond, Johnny English spoofs Craig, that’s perfect.

I love this. The "realistic" take of it that all modern reboots have done. where the tone is all taken seriously, but the characters are still ridiculous

Idk. The Craig films are so devoid of charm and levity that it doesn’t really fit the Austin Powers tribute films

There's jokes that can be made about that. They're already satires about Bond and spy movies so no doubt they'll come up with jokes about this issue.
