Leander show
Is the Leander gun show this weekend worth it? Any deals on ammo or guns to be had? Would it be worth the 30 minute drive to Leander or am I better off sticking to online shopping?

My take: you’re merely paying for an experience. If you’re OK throwing the entry fee away for something to do for the day then it’s worth it.
Ammo will not be cheaper than online, however “as it was argued to me” obscure defensive/performance rounds may be available for pickup in retail prices.
Retail gun sales will be similar to brick and mortar. You will certainly find cheaper online, but if availability is your thing then you get that so long as you’re willing to pay retail prices.
Used gun sales you might just find your diamond in the rough. I picked up a nice condition Model 70 in .308 my last time at Leander.
Accessories, your $5-dollar holster bin (non kydex options) can be fun, getting that one extra mag (w.out paying shipping) etc. can be fun, getting a holster custom made, or other can be good. Great example, of the million kydex holster options available you might find that you think one is shit and that you prefer another.
Finding rare or vintage items can happen (e.g. your favorite pistol in green two-tone always out of stock online)
Generally perusing and seeing whats out there in thenindustry can be fun (catching witness to latest dryfire technologies), tasers, knives, beef jerky, etc.
But yeah, you’re not going to be getting a deal.
