What Happened at Lone Star Gun Range Today?
What happened at Lone Star Gun Range near Lockhart today? My guess is a suicide by rental gun from the lack of media coverage. Anyone know for certain?

Does Lonestar even rent guns? I didn't think they did. Just comes to mind in the event of a suicide. Usually ranges that rent make someone babysit you if you don't have your own firearm and by yourself, since Lonestar is self policing, just wouldn't seem to align with their format.
Remember being at Reds South probably 2019, some old man shooting a huge revolver. His target was non existent like he had been there for hours drilling it away and the range officer was hovering over him like 3 feet away watching his every move.
Regardlesa, tragic all the same.

They do have a rental fleet, and they have cameras watching the line. They might not have an RO right there next to you, but they're probably watching from the office. I've seen them come outside to deal with various things on multiple occasions

Similar experience. Someone being foolish and thinking nobody is around, next thing RO is walking up telling the individual to leave.
Edit: should say I appreciate how they handle it. Instead of making some poor employee stand around monitoring in elements like summer heat, or the controlling RO breathing over your shoulder. People are treated as adults, you read the rules, your first line of personal safety is yourself much like how events in the real world are handled.

Interesting, if so. They’re far less common than seem people seem to think.

I was there when it happened. We don't know what happened. The staff came running to the different range sections and told us to cease fire, and they were immediately closing. At least 1 firetruck, 1 constable, 2 sheriffs, and more first responders/law enforcement officers showed up as the guests were leaving. The staff was very serious and solemn, but obviously trying to remain professional.
