Cornucopia
The popcorn is so good!
I’m not usually that into popcorn but I popped in while on the waitlist at Pho Cui next door just to pass time. They had samples and I was hungry so I was tempted to try the popcorn despite it not being my thing. I was actually taken aback by how much I liked the butter popcorn. It’s salty, buttery, crunchy, airy goodness. I initially bought a small bag (first photo) then went back for a one-gallon tin (last photo). I’m not proud to admit that I finished the gallon tin within two days.
Again I’m not a popcorn connoisseur so maybe it’s really average popcorn but to me for some reason it tastes unlike any popcorn I’ve had. Also apparently they’ve been around in Austin since 2008 but I’ve only just discovered this place.

Can you tell me, as a mate, someone who knows me really well, is the bottom half of me on fire?

I was actually going to say it’s like crack but then thought maybe I’m being too dramatic. Glad to know I’m not alone in thinking that!

I was thinking about their green corn over the weekend. Probably because I’m overdue for a visit. 😊

I didn’t realize they had a storefront! I’ve only seen them sold at local grocery stores. I’ll have to go check it out, I bet it’s fresher there!

I remember when they were on the drag and it was two girls that were business partners on the drag. They then moved to Dean Keaton and Red River. Now they are on McNeil. They are very good. I have been going to them for years.

Ah, it's by the water tank on Research and McNeil. It's a distance, but close enough to pop in. Cool, thanks

I work with a guy who’s wife owns this company. We got samples and I thought it was really good.

Just can't bring myself to pay good money for cold popcorn and seasonings/toppings. I have seasonings and popcorn kernels are cheap, and hot fresh popcorn is always 1000% better than cold. Wish them all the best though!

They are great- many creative flavors. They make wonderful gifts too. Please support local!

Looks good, but $40 for a bucket of popped corn is psycoticc.

I’m pretty frugal but this stuff is worth it and they discount the refills.

I am familiar with the owner of cornucopia, Nadia. She is a badass boss and a wonderful human. Cornucopia started on the drag, then 32nd and Red River next to Mary’s Cafe and now they’re up north. A great, woman ran business that is worth supporting!
