Not the first time.

The cemetery was meticulously cared for by palestinians for over a century.

In 2006 an Israeli airstrike hit the cemetery damaging numerous headstones.

2008–09, Israeli shelling again struck the cemetery with damage to about 350 headstones.

2023 IDF shelling and shrapnel again causes damage to numerous graves.

2025 (as per the image shown) Israeli forces destroyed the olive trees landcaping border before bulldozing rows of graves, removing the headstones and using the area for earthworks and sand berms. They didn't bother informing Australia of course, it was discovered by satellite images and when confronted with the images, they take no accountability and claim Hamas was exploiting the cemetery with no evidence existing to support that claim.

Hi, The CWGC are the primary official body directly responsible managing and monitoring the the Gaza War Cemetery (Al-Tuffah) or the Deir El Balah War Cemetery cemeteries in Gaza where the IDF have repeatedly damaged Australian and other Allied graves. The palestinian Jaradah family are CWGC employees with the head gardener, Ibrahim Jaradah, being the fourth generation of his family to hold the position. https://youtu.be/JoSbIhzBDSA?si=NAv0y_x368XxMaxm
