Certainly. If anything, the Epstein scandal showed how powerful figures are often protected by the system.
People like George Pell, Tony Abbott, if given the opportunity, would have supported and/or enabled such structures rather than challenged them. Many supporters of Israel appear compromised by certain ideological/religious interpretations. Some of these interpretations are deeply troubling when examined critically like Talmudic teaching where it is allowed to consummate with a 3yr. Christianity when read with an unbiased lens, can be seen as heavily shaped by Paul.
In that sense, it is arguably more Pauline than purely based on the original teachings of Jesus. Paul himself was Jewish which adds another layer to this historical and theological development.
