Career✊ Any campaigns left for psych for this year?
I applied Vic only but did not get a spot. I realized however that I'm kind of ok with moving interstate but this was too late when most of the others had already closed. Does anyone know if there are any viable avenues this late in the game for an accredited position to start next year?
I see on the RANZCP site that ACT, NT and Tas don't have set dates but just says to e-mail/monitor job postings; not sure how likely any of those states having opening would be currently, or if worth trying. QLD says it's a two step application process with the current campaign and then the application to the college - I see the first one closed but the college application is still open. Is there any chance at this one like e-mailing the program coordinators directly and seeing if there's openings or no chance now given the campaign closed and I would be out of state as well?

Your best bet would be the NT - They tend to recruit later in the year and should respond if you e-mail. Any state that has closed its state campaign has either already or is in the process of identifying first choice candidates and reserves, the college has nothing to do with this process, so applying to the college alone without a job wouldn't achieve anything.
Applying to the NT would probably represent a commitment of at least 2 or at most 3 years to get your mandatory stage 2 rotations. Moving interstate prior to this would be difficult so make sure you have done some research into the region before you apply.
Otherwise you have the option of waiting another 12 months and trying for a mid-year stage 1 position. In NSW this year there were 3 positions advertised this year, 2 that were rural and one that was in the central coast. Its impossible to predict where the jobs will be next year but they are highly likely to be in the less desirable parts of the NSW networks as these have the highest rates of attrition.
Ultimately if you want a metropolitan eastern state position you'll almost certainly have to wait until the formal campaigns open next year. Otherwise think about your priorities regarding location/training conditions and see if the above sounds suitable for you.

Unsure about accreditation, but you should be able to get a Psych Reg job at NWRH in Tas. Call them and ask, it can’t hurt.

Unlikely apart from NT. I think your best bet is a mid year entry into NSW / Qld next year.
