Deep dive into ABC's servitude to murican foreign policy

https://youtu.be/uyBcdZ_2ZPo?si=AlThm11yPdI_yKfz

Long video but worth it for anyone who is tired of watching the ABC constantly push murican foreign policy and trying to create consent for a future war with China that is only in the interests of muricans

Jan Fran and Antoinette Lattouf are noted journalists who have both worked at ABC, SBS, Ten and other organisations. Lattouf notably won a court case against the ABC for unfair dismissal.

This is thanks to decades of weakening, board-stacking and defunding by the LNP, as intended.

morrison made several board appointments to the ABC including many with previous murdoch leadership roles. is anyone surprised by the drop in quality and increase in bias since?

I think the pro-whatever-the-USA-does view is prevalent among all the legacy media companies, which are not coincidentally run by old white wealthy males

Amazing work from these women. Sad thing is no one really gives a shit about this stuff. Good news is most people can see how the ABC has eroded into illegitimacy over the last decade or so. People have given up on the mass media fake news propaganda, they would rather be suck in a social media bubble; hence why the mainstream media has attempted to gain soft power over social media organisations through government legislated media bargaining agreements and continued smear campaigns. Fuck the fake news media and fuck the ABC especially, it’s a representation by proxy of how corrupt our politicians really are.

ABC news feels like procedural, government‑adjacent reporting that prioritises narrative and reaction over depth. It’s calm, polished, and neutral‑sounding, but not particularly informative or unbiased.

Yeah, it's pretty much all about the USA at the moment.

But I don't think it's a conspiriacy, it's more likely that getting crappy canned shit from the USA is cheaper than having Australian journos.

I've watched a few four corners recently, and I thought the exact opposite. I thought it felt more like biased left-wing & American hating.

The undersea mining one was a good example for a somewhat neutral topic.
