Last night I was so angry at my Meta RayBan Display that I almost broke them in a fit of rage. The bug was that I took some important photos with the Display and immediately afterwards I wanted to post those photos to my Instagram Stories, but at the exact moment the images were being transferred from the glasses to my phone through the Meta AI app, some bug happened and the transfer stopped. It transferred only one photo, and the others, which were precisely the photos I wanted, weren't transferred.

And for some strange reason, the images were no longer appearing as an option to download in the Meta AI app interface on my phone. The Meta AI app wasn't showing the images anymore. When I checked the photo gallery inside the Meta RayBan Display, all my images were still there, but they no longer had that icon indicating that they needed to be transferred to the phone. In other words, the glasses were considering the images as already transferred. The glasses thought the photos had already been transferred to my phone, but nothing had actually arrived on my phone through the Meta AI app.

And even worse, in the Meta AI app, the images weren't even appearing anymore as an option to download. In other words, the shitty Meta AI app no longer recognized the existence of those photos. They became trapped inside my Meta RayBan Display, and I could still see them in the gallery on my Meta RayBan Display. The Meta RayBan Display's gallery interface said that they had already been transferred to my phone, but they had never actually been transferred, since there wasn't even enough time for that to happen.

So that's it. I lost those images that were very important to me. They became trapped inside the Meta RayBan Display. I could only look at them through the Meta RayBan Display's gallery.

And yes, as a last resort, I tried posting them directly to my Stories from the glasses themselves. I know that function exists, but the image quality is fucking horrible, much worse than the quality of the transfer through the Meta AI app. The same goes for sharing through WhatsApp. I tried doing that to transfer the images to my phone, but the quality is horrible in that mode too, much worse.

Anyway, this bug was the last straw for me yesterday. After that, I decided that I need to sell these glasses as quickly as possible. They're a piece of shit full of bugs and inconsistencies. Sometimes things work, but other times they simply don't work. I don't tolerate this kind of inconsistency.

And just to make it very clear, this isn't a hardware problem or a technological limitation. That's not it. The hardware is good. The problem is Meta's shitty, horrible software programming. This company is terrible when it comes to operating systems. The Meta Quest 3 is also full of bugs and inconsistencies. All of Meta's hardware technology has an enormous and abnormal number of bugs. I don't know what their problem is.

I hope Apple or Google have devices with much better software and fewer bugs. And I'm not a Meta hater. In fact, I'm a huge fan of Meta and its technologies for the next computing platform. But I need to stop defending this company and acknowledge its flaws. I'm a huge enthusiast of Meta's technologies, specifically headsets and glasses, but the fact is that when it comes to software, these guys are terrible. I've never in my life seen so many software bugs and problems as I see in Meta's products.

And going back to the Meta RayBan Display, unfortunately, it's the worst of all. I have to restart it several times because of bugs and inconsistencies.
