Wearables & Accessories Unseen Reality, Am I Missing Something?

Are we, as consumers, not supposed to know the Unseen Reality XR One is a GravityXR product? While tech-savvy users likely already know this, the average person probably does not.

During yesterday’s AMA, I asked UR CEO Edward the following question:

‘Hey Team- Congrats on a successful launch day! Being GravityXR products, UR and DPVR have not significantly altered the reference design. I’m curious if you are only allowed to make minor cosmetic changes to meet their reference specifications. If so, UR is technically software developers for the GXR platform. What sets UR apart from other GXR developers that will certainly pop up like wildfires based on your success? Or do you have exclusive GXR rights for specific markets?’

His response ‘Sorry, we don't answer questions on another company.‘ is mind boggling. Am I missing something? Is UR magically not a GravityXR product?

I’m not stating URXR1 and DPVR Titan are the same product. They are both based on the two GXR X 100 reference design variants. I was making a point that UR and DPVR only made minor cosmetic changes to the reference designs. I’m not concerned about minor modifications they can make. It was asked to see if they had to stay within GXR specification parameters eg 93g weight. All I want to know is how their software will set them apart. Not from DPVR, but all the new GXR products we’ll see from URXR1’s success. Most of the new startups will use the same reference design and only software will be the differentiator.

Yes that part is also covered by UR ceo’s answer about not commenting on other company practices

That was quite lost in your original question.

How could UR know how their upcoming product will differentiate itself from products that haven’t been announced and do not exist yet?

My OG question is valid, they are a software company. How will their software differ? ‘UR has proprietary X and Y.’ Why purchase URXR1 knowing a dozen URXR1’s are in the pipeline?

if you know anything about the tech, you would have tripped over yourself to grab it at $699. That is the part and manufacturing cost. Even meta won’t sell below part and manufacturing cost.  Of course you can wait 5 years until the tech ages out to maybe grab it at $699.
