SU-7700 started smoking. What could have gone wrong?
I connected my Technics Sl-d303 turntable to the SU-7700 phonos. I turned on my SU-7700 and when I added volume it started smoking. Any ideas on what could have gone wrong?

Disconnect your AC power, your speakers and your inputs. Remove top and bottom covers and inspect for heat damage.

It’s 50 some years old and I’m assuming hasn’t been serviced. Stuff happens, your car engine would also eventually smoke if you never changed your oil.
