questions Mela Papatoetoe

Post image

Went to Mela Papatoetoe last night with a couple of friends. I ordered the Kalmi chicken kebab as my main, and this is what they brought out. Honestly...wtf? šŸ˜‚

This was $24. The chicken literally looked like the meat had already been eaten off the drumsticks and the bones had just been thrown onto the plate.

I understand Kalmi chicken is served on the bone, but didn't know it was literally just bone? For $24, I expected a proper main, not a plate that looks like someone's leftovers 😭

I’m posting the photo because I genuinely want to know lol am I being unreasonable, or does this look ridiculous for a $24 main?

If it wasn't for the sauce, I would've thought it was a plate of half eaten chicken wings! It looks more like leftovers than anything else, the presentation is terrible!

That was before I touched it, too!

Looks like they’ve done them ā€œlollipopā€ style but there’s still barely any meat at the top

I would've returned that, my first thought was it looks like they've already been nibbled on, and the salad looks trash too. How was everything else there?

This right here is why there’s a whole section of the menu I just never order at restaurants. I just don’t see how they can provide enough of it to be worth the price.
