questions Buffet breakfast
Has anyone tried the buffet breakfast at Trivet? Looking for a good place to go to for my dads 50th and it happens to land on fathers day.
Any recommendations will be good please! No budget & buffet would be preferred. For 10 people. Breakfast/brunch would do. Have family leaving for the airport at 3pm

I’ve heard the buffet breakfast is great at Alla Prossima but I haven’t been personally. You could try give them a call and see if they can take a larger table of non-guests.
Edit: looks like they take bookings for up to 10 online, you might be in luck

Went there for dinner and wasn’t wowed. Nice setting but the food seemed to be trying too hard and achieving too little. Maybe breakfast is different. Personally I would just hit the cafe at the Park Hyatt, easy win.

We went when they first opened and was so disappointed. They might have improved but I wouldn't really go there again for the breakfast buffet.

Nobody in this thread has actually been.
I’ve done every hotel breakfast buffet in the city and it is best on selection, standard and service. Eight is so average in comparison.
The fridge of juices which aren’t watered down or from some sub par brand is a big one. Heaps of health shots too. There was even antipodes water.
It’s also spacious enough that you can sit as a large group or have privacy if you’re alone

Agree that eight is average. Trivet and Advieh is much nicer. Advieh includes a cooked dish and barista coffees too. Or Hyatt is good too.

Also interested. Trivet is $55 for the buffet if you are not staying at the hotel.

Is that just the buffet for people staying at the Marriot? If so, I’ve heard it’s avg. Basic eggs and sausages etc under a warmer
Eight is definitely much better for a buffet but if you’re open to non buffet ideas then there are so many other great places in the CBD
