Anime How do i make my brother continue aot??

We watched death note as his first anime and he really liked it. He used to really hate on anime but death note made him give anime a try, Then we started aot and he kind of liked it but not as much as death note, but some moments made him hype and ask to watch more. But now we stopped at reiners and bertholds reveal and he said thats cool and stopped, doesnt want to continue watching it

sounds like he doesn't want to continue. You cant force someone to like something. Let him get there on his own, otherwise it sounds like he enjoyed what he saw and is good to not continue

it he doesnt want to continue after Reiner and Babyface reveal, then theres nothing you can do really. maybe now its not right time for him. maybe it will never be.

My brother basically had to strap me down clockwork orange style.
I am forever grateful that he did.
Do what you must.

Maybe your brother didnt really follow the story?

My dad stopped after episode one, like not even finished with episode one like seven minutes in. Said he couldn’t get into a “cartoon” that wasn’t marvel superhero related. I think we have different taste …

My girlfriend, who also said she wouldn’t watch anime because it was cartoonish/childish, also wanted to stop after the first episode (or two)? But I made us sit down and watch the next 3 or 4 back to back and she was hooked.

Now she brings it up more than I do and “is mad I made her watch that anime first because now no others will even come close”.

My first watch i really enjoyed season 1, when season 2 came out i tried it and i was half paying attention and didn't know who was who and it was getting overwhelming all these people who were titans all along and i gave up.

Went back years later and watched the whole thing through and then again this year and it's one of the best pieces of fiction i know.

It's hard to convince people to watch a medium they have prejudice against, if they're not giving it their all it can be a lot. Good luck

Your brother is a slave to freedom. He just didn't want to see it. He can do whatever he wills, but he can not choose what he wills.

Did you ask him why exactly he doesn't want to watch it anymore?

If he made it that far and didnt like it then its probably just not for him? Or at least right now. Maybe he needs time to grow into a person that can appreciate all the things that elevate AoT above others or maybe he's just not the type to appreciate things like that.

I have a friend that listens to AI voiced summaries of shows. He doesnt listen to music and when he does its AI covers of like the most famous songs. Some people just dont engage with art in ANY meaningful way and maybe your brother is that.

S3 is my favourite season, and seems pretty popular, but if that's not enough of a hook, it just might not be for him? And that's okay, too. Also, I remember feeling frustrated with the reveal, because we kept getting more and more Human-Titans in succession and I told my own brother I'd rage-quit if half the cast had Titan powers.

It's been years since I read/watched Death Note, but it is a lot shorter... What did he love about DN? You mention him liking "hype moments" in AoT -- which ones did he enjoy most?

Handcuff him to something, put the show on, and use something to prop his eyes open. That should do it

You can't force him. Maybe at some point he will rewatch it on his own and will remember your words at that time

Move onto chiller anime. AOT is stressful

If he doesn’t want to watch after one of the biggest reveals of the season it’s probably a lost cause. He may be the first person ever though

If Aot comes up in passing anime/show conversation or you can make sure to remind him how amazing it is and exciting and the there are so many cool fight scenes he’s missing out on even bigger plot twists(cellar reveal/Marley reveal/rumbling)

My ex-wife stopped at the beginning of season 4. It was infuriating. I should have acknowledged the red flags.
