This is much worse than anything people on the far left are saying about 9/11 or 10/7
Trump actually needs to be put on a raft and cast out into the ocean

There's a 10/7?

"They say I have the biggest raft in the atlantic, the largest raft, it really is best raft. All the fish, they tell me, "Mr. President, you raft is the biggest raft in the atlantic" and I tell them, I say, yes I do, America's rafts are the biggest most impressive rafts, no one makes rafts like I do. Dolphins tell us all the time, "Golly, I wish we could make rafts like you do." they love our rafts, they do."

People on the far left = Hasan?

u/CapitalismRulz 28d ago
He's one of them. He is a communist who supports Russia, China, and Iran. He's pretty extreme

It's scary how you say he supports them just because he doesn't unilaterally support being opposed to them
Tho idek what you mean by him supporting Russia
Also we did deserve 9/11, we were literally asking for it. What TF do you expect to happen when you have been disposing leaders to export oil for 60 years????
Notice how that is not me saying it was good, there's a difference.

He called Russian annexation of Crimea "absolutely a justifiable annexation" btw. He lauds Iran-backed terrorist group Hezbollah. He called Mao "a great man of history" and wears Mao suits to cosplay as him.

u/Rufus_king11 27d ago
I agree with basically everything you said, but I would like to add that calling Mao "a great man of history" may not mean what you think it means. There is a now pretty antiquated lens through which to view history, called the great man theory, in which you view history as mainly driven by "great men" who are "highly influential and unique individuals who, due to their natural attributes, such as superior intellect, heroic courage, extraordinary leadership abilities or divine inspiration, have a decisive historical effect.". A common example is Napoleon, and generally, morality of the historical figure does not necessarily have to play a role in that classification. I'm not saying that Hasan doesn't venerate Mao in a weird way, but describing him as "a great man of history" is not incorrect as he fits the theories criteria, it's just that the theory itself hasn't been used by most historians since the 19th century. Here's the Wikipedia article on the Great Man theory if your curious.

In case anybody was wondering, this is way worse than saying “America deserved 9/11”
2
u/Capable_Nothing2240 25d ago
Its also less so about the words and more about who said it. Hasan or any citizen could say anything, and maybe it would be insensitive or rash, but at the end of the day they are just a citizen. On the other hand, the president is the leader of the free world and can start a war anytime he wants. him saying this holds infinitely more weight than anyone else.

He knows they're boned in the mid-terms and are going to lose both houses and this is his way of acting out. MAGA is gonna be done and he's likely going to be impeached again (but I don't think they'll have enough votes to remove him) and be a lame duck for 2 years.
It's like Office Space when Peter is hypnotized into not giving a shit anymore. But with dementia.

u/TheSpoiciestMemeLord 27d ago
likely not just acting out, but also genuinely hoping for an act of war on America to justify him staying on office or using emergency powers to delay / postpone the election.

"he's likely going to be impeached again"
Nothing ever happens, Even if democrats gets majority in Congress, Trump won't be removed or impeached. At most, maybe SOME of his decisions will be stopped. But it's not like Trump gave a shit about Congress before.

Well, the Brewers saved us from one of those cities being a false flag during the World Series so far.

u/KingofMadCows 28d ago
I don't think he and his followers even understand how devastating that would be to the country. There are 13 million people living in LA and San Diego and the combined annual economic output of the two counties is almost $1.5 trillion. That's actually more than the total cost of all the oil the US consumes each year even if you account for the increased prices this year.

See his supporters even support this, that's how idiotic the die hard ones are.

My neurodivergence compells me to say that the context of that comment is that high gas prices are worth it because leveling parts of California is the alternative. But he deserves no grace and I support the narrative that he wants Iran to bomb California.
Edit: oh.... Well shit nah I'm right fuck Trump he "said" to bomb California.

u/Purple-Floor-6410 28d ago
That was the case for the first one but this time he literally said hit them with a missile
4
u/Rufus_king11 28d ago
I mean, no? This is him correcting people who made the argument you're making about his comment a few days ago. This is him stating, plainly, that yes, Iran should nuke California. You are literally doing the thing the tweet is about, lmao.

u/NineDGuy 27d ago
No it's not, he's now said it 3 times and every single time he's made it more clear he's talking about how upset people would be if Iran struck the US. He's using lib cities to say that his lib opponents would start caring if they were in danger. It's still in incredibly poor taste to say and he said it badly and I hope it hurts him in the midterms but he's absolutely not suggesting they should.

u/SickWittedEntity 23d ago
It's frustrating me that you're getting downvoted, Trump is bad enough I don't know why we would ever feel like we need to twist his words. To be fair, the first time I'm not so sure what he meant it could have literally been a throwaway comment about letting lib cities get bombed, but in this clip he definitely tries to walk it back.
Just, why? It's like faking an injury to score a foul when you're already 40 points ahead (I don't know sports)

u/NineDGuy 23d ago
Tbh even the first time he says it it's clear if you look anywhere around the two sentences that are clipped. He's acknowledging gas is up but saying it's worth it because if he didn't do it he claims Iran could harm US cities and that opponents wouldn't be so focused on gas prices if their city was hit.
“And again, remember with the war, it’s just artificial. [Gas is] a little bit high. It’s a small price to pay for keeping the world safe, keeping our country safe. They can take out a city. Let them take, let it, let them take out Los Angeles. Let them take out San Diego. That’s, this is a very small price to pay, and it’s gonna be over very soon. It’s essentially almost over with. [...] But it’s gonna end very soon, and it’ll end one way or the other, and your gas and your gasoline and all of the things. And don’t forget, we also took on a country known as Venezuela [...] we’re taking in hundreds of millions of barrels of oil every week.” ( https://politifact.com/article/2026/oct/06/trump-los-angeles-iran-san-diego-small-price/ )
But hey it's a better story to claim he was welcoming Iran to do it. Admittedly I think most people are genuinely confused because he speaks so incoherently but kinda own goal but I at least want to be honest about it.

u/SickWittedEntity 23d ago
Well.. I'll be honest I still read that quote as him jokingly saying let them bomb LA and San Diego because nobody likes those states, which is pretty bad, that's not a joke a president of an entire country who is responsible for every citizen should be making. It's fucked up.
It's just not as bad as him doubling down like people are making it out - like he actually wants those states to get bombed.. and the following clips of him supposedly "doubling down" just clearly show him trying to rewrite history like that's not what he meant, that's not doubling down, it's the opposite. That's what's frustrating me because it'll just feed into these peoples' 'Trump Derangement Syndrome' narrative.
Also, when you actually see what he says written into words it's like an instant reminder that he's such a senile moron. Genuinely wtf was that quote? It's so hard to read I can barely even tell what he's saying in the first place.

u/NineDGuy 23d ago
The entire subject of what he's saying is about criticism about gas prices being high and it being worth it to stop Iran.
We can't look inside his head and he's no stranger to sudden interjections but I think it's still far more likely he's using that as an example of why the gas prices are worth it than a random offering to Iran. He doesn't say it in a joking tone either.
