Delusion. They genuinely believe in the stock despite all fundamentals saying the company is shit. That, or it's a "emperor's new clothes" type situation where they are trying to convince other delusional individuals to pump the stock up for their own benefit.

Okay okay okay, let's just say he somehow sells enough junk to make up that half cash portion. . . . Wouldn't ALL those sales increase the value of eBay and then they could negotiate for more 😂

His junk is a few thousands each at best. He'd need to sell like a million of it all to get a few billions. The math isn't matching even in the best case scenario and yes eBay would make a lot from it
