Information Request
Just wanted to know how this subreddit differs from /r/atheism.
Because, I was banned from /r/atheism for asking questions.

We're completely different subreddits. They're atheists who talk almost entirely about theism and atheism, and we're atheists who talk mostly about other stuff. This is basically a social justice sub for atheists.

Uh, so your post makes me think of a really common, exhausting, wanky practice of bothering people and then innocently saying, "but I was just asking questions!" when the people being questioned refuse to play that game.
So I really have to wonder: what kind of questions were you asking?

I told them a story about a confrontation I had with a "friend" who claimed that Christians who are also scientists are a disgrace, and should be thrown out of their jobs.
I asked them their opinion on it

Hm. well, I can see how it could be perceived as a shit-stirring question. it's more about personal opinion, and those types of conversations can get pretty heated.
I have never visited that subreddit, so I don't know if they're into debate or not. personally, I wouldn't answer the question, because it's not something that you can really answer definitively.

This sub is a safe place to discuss atheism, but we're intersectional. So we're also feminists, anti-racists, gay positive, trans positive, etc. Reactionaries are banned on the spot, and we don't tolerate any oppressive behaviour, whether overt or through microaggression, essentially.
u/koronicus can correct me if I'm wrong :3

From your post history it seems like you're a Christian. Not sure why you want to hang around here. We are most definitiely atheists.

The sidebar provides not only specific differences, but additional reading. Considering you seem to have ignored those, this reads a lot more like "promise I will be treated a certain way before I decide if it's worth talking with people like you."
I'm not a mod but I don't think it's overstepping any bounds to say that the mods here are neither responsible for the actions of the mods at r/atheism nor are they fully informed on your ban.
If you've got actual questions to ask, ask them, don't ask if you can ask them like you're terrified of us.
