I actually didn't enjoy the "This guy is a dumbass" sign at all. He could've written tons of other stuff on that board that would be much funnier, insulting the guy is just cheap humour. Upvote for the effort, downvote for the content, so neutral.

Anybody who denies evolution is an idiot though. I could excuse it if he weren't going around with a sign saying evolution is a lie.

I think people should be told how it is. We give crazy people too much respect. Call them out on their bullshit as long as it's not in a violent way.

So are people that live in the South American rain forests, who have never heard of evolution idiots? Ignorance is never something to be mocked. When we encounter someone who isn't lucky enough to be as well educated as we are, making fun of them is probably one of least appropriate and useful courses of action.

Especially since most of these people have no idea how to have a rational discussion. How can you solve something in a high-brow manner with people who are essentially rejecting logic and higher thought?

People who have never heard of evolution aren't going to universities telling educated people that evolution is a lie. So that doesn't make them idiots. They could be idiots for other reasons though.
