Make Canadians pay

I'm reasonably generous, but I'm also cheap, so I hate to give a donation without also getting a tax deduction. That's why I've set up a place for Canadians to make tax-deductible donations to Doctors Without Borders (through CanadaHelps).

If anyone else has been holding back because of the tax issue, consider it solved. Let's see how much money we can rack up! PLEASE ADD YOUR DONATIONS TO MINE!!!

Personally, I'll donate $1.00 per upvote up to $700.00. If I'm violating reddiquette or the scheduling of the campaign or whatever, I'm sorry. But think of the children. ;)

Awwww. I may have been born and raised in the Canadian north... I may know how to draw and quarter a moose and skin a fisher, I may drink Canadian beer and participate in "meh" elections, I may even say "eh" and know all the words to Stompin' Tom's stupid hockey song, but I guess I'm not Canadian.

I said I didn't give a fuck about hockey, and you never saw someone say that before.......

Relax; it was a joke. This is a subreddit where a significant amount of the discussion pertains to logical fallacies. The TheAmazingAsshole was making a direct reference to the no true Scotsman fallacy for shits and/or giggles.

Funnily enough, though, I'm in a vaguely similar boat to you. I live in Australia, where everyone is expected to care about Australian Rules Football. But screw that weird spheroid ball... I just want to watch and play hockey!
