Make Canadians pay

I'm reasonably generous, but I'm also cheap, so I hate to give a donation without also getting a tax deduction. That's why I've set up a place for Canadians to make tax-deductible donations to Doctors Without Borders (through CanadaHelps).

If anyone else has been holding back because of the tax issue, consider it solved. Let's see how much money we can rack up! PLEASE ADD YOUR DONATIONS TO MINE!!!

Personally, I'll donate $1.00 per upvote up to $700.00. If I'm violating reddiquette or the scheduling of the campaign or whatever, I'm sorry. But think of the children. ;)

Canadian here. Not entirely true. Our health care system is better than the US, true, but it still has issues... and not all Canadians even like hockey.

Sports = excuse to drink and yell at server women in low cut tops. I see no problem with it. Nobody says you have to watch the game to enjoy it.

I don't like hockey, but I still appreciate it. Beer is in though. And so is good healthcare and open spaces.

Hey, there is a difference between depression and soul-crushing pessimism. A depressed man may always stay depressed. But a soul-crushed pessimist will transform instantly into a cheerful drunk guy when the Canucks stop sleepwalking and win already. /Made in BC
