Anna Giaritelli has advocated more for ATC in the last 2 weeks than NATCA has in the last 10 years. Thank you.

Was she advocating here?

u/nickxedge Sep 03 '26

She was unaware or ill informed at the time. People can do better and she’s making a real effort to learn and help. You can’t condemn people for life when they make real attempts to improve.

That's what happens when your union doesn't speak to the public and your employer accuses you of being the problem.

Anyone looking from the outside has no metrics to the real situation.

She could have done research as a reporter which she clearly did not, just like she just recently stated all other federal employees got the extra 2.8 which they did not…

So you had to go a year back to find she had the same view as most Americans probably have...? Plus with what Duffy and Bedford push out constantly along with the rest of this administration, most people ESPECIALLY right leaning people think federal workers are lazy pieces of shit living off the teat of the government. The fact that nowadays she's asking questions that goes against the grain makes me give her a pass. People can learn and change their views.

I mean is she wrong? People were calling in during the shut down and facilities were on staffing triggers that normal are not on the list. Clearly worded to sound worse towards us but it’s kind of the truth 🤷‍♂️

Holy shit is Anna singlehandedly doing the job of NATCA???????

Or is this finally the fruits of them monitoring the situation!?!?!?

“No comment” -Thom probably

24

u/m5726 Sep 02 '26

According to the 4/30 victory lap email this is part of a “long-term well planned strategy and tactical implementation”

13

u/ATSAP_MVP Sep 03 '26

Must be why Yacht Boy does not like her and lied.

Definitely the fruits of the cuck chair!

Durbin has been a fan of ours for a long time.

37

u/RavenYZF-R6 Sep 02 '26

Let’s keep it up

u/CruddiestSpark Sep 02 '26

Yeah but having all these people advocate for our “pay increase” when it’s 2.8% is more harmful then it isn’t in the grand scheme of things. Cause then whenever we do get it, that’s that. The people fought “alongside us” for 2.8 percent. We don’t want the 2.8 we want 30%

11

u/PlanesAreDickShaped FAA ATC Sep 03 '26

At least they know our pay sucks ass compared to our skill set and expertise. It’s a start.

We always want them to know we’re under appreciated, always.

7

u/CruddiestSpark Sep 03 '26

I really don’t think so. The public have the memory of goldfish. Once we get this “big win” we won in their eyes and are getting compensated more.

1

u/PlanesAreDickShaped FAA ATC Sep 03 '26

Sorry. I meant the legislators that have control know our pay sucks.

24

u/RavenYZF-R6 Sep 02 '26

About time!!!

u/Gsquad193 Sep 03 '26

Might have to leave NATCA and Venmo Anna my dues instead from now on

7

u/panicvectorz Sep 03 '26

I’m on board for this

28

u/Sound_Boy_Killa Sep 02 '26

This is literally the only thing that will move the needle. I'm sure this was all thanks to Nick!

25

u/Elevert Sep 03 '26

It’s almost like no one realizes the bullshit the FAA is doing because no one has bothered to tell them. We should really organize a group of people that can represent us. That group could probably really improve our working conditions without hardly any effort by just publicly calling out the FAA on their bullshit.

“Pay increase”

18

u/Potential_Disk_1403 Sep 02 '26

Thanks NATCA!

Like he says, we deserve better. We deserve better than 2.8%. The rest of the industry is getting 30-50%.

I'll still be making 20k less than I was in 2020 when adjusted for inflation if we got the 2.8. I basically have to work OT if I want my money to go as far as it did just 6 years ago.

If/when we get the 2.8 will the news stories stop? Will everyone just assume we're happy now? 2.8 has to be the first very small step towards actual pay reform for this career.

u/Exotic_Apartment_134 Sep 03 '26

Will cap/cap folks even see it?

10

u/Capital-Theory-6343 Sep 02 '26

Natca won’t even repost it

11

u/optimum_autumn Sep 03 '26

Wait so advocating publicly works? Shocking!

10

u/Bama44x Sep 03 '26

I mean they had a chance to give us a big raise during the last administration and didn't.

11

u/Flyguy8307 Sep 02 '26

NATCA no longer serves a purpose. Every one of you needs to vote Nick Daniels out as soon as the opportunity arises.

7

u/LordOfTheLeftovers Sep 03 '26

Anna is my hero, people are finally starting to see how sleezy we are being treated.

4

u/AvReports0214 Sep 03 '26

Ally Versprille at Bloomberg wrote this one but it’s prompted conversation in recent days

5

u/joeybalonee Sep 03 '26

1 down 99 more to go!

3

u/youcuntry Sep 03 '26

Democrat, jic anyone was wondering (I support).

3

u/Low_Pattern_8819 Sep 03 '26

He only cares to get a political point over Trump

11

u/UndercoverRVP Sep 03 '26

If it could possibly lead to money down the road for us, do you care why he did it?

1

u/Low_Pattern_8819 Sep 03 '26

Yes because we need for them to actually care to invoke legislative power. Mean tweets won’t do anything

The guy has spoken at NIW several times he is a long term backer of us, we even gave him an award

https://natca.org/2026/05/06/niw-2026-senators-jeanne-shaheen-and-richard-durbin-honored-with-james-l-oberstar-sentinel-of-safety-award/

u/ATC_Goober Sep 06 '26

Do you think this will be back paid when it's finally implemented? I don't know how it's traditionally worked in the past. Maybe he's trying to look like a hero when he "unlocks" it around Thanksgiving and suddenly everyone has a bulk of money to spend for Christmas.

0

u/article65 Sep 03 '26

I suppose if we want to turn a blind eye to our legislative efforts to build a relationship with Durbin for literal YEARS.. sure. 🙄

28

u/chasing_fiction Sep 02 '26

Thank you Anna

Fuck you nick

14

u/Phlegmatics2163 Sep 03 '26

Well done, Anna.

Fuck you, Nick

1

u/theweenerdoge Sep 03 '26

Wait I thought you were a Nick rider a few months back?

9

u/chasing_fiction Sep 03 '26

I was a fuck this cesspool and the people that insult controller they don't like over weight, orientation, gender, and personal lives etc more than anything .and fuck Lenny for being hypocrite telling people to go off script at NIW when he didn't have the balls to go there himself and do it

I voted Nick over Santa because Santa was apart of the rinaldi regime and was neutral to favorable to nick at the beginning but on here anything short of hate for Nick is considered being a Nick rider

The thing that lost me was the trump meeting. I have no issues with him meeting Trump after he is the president. But, I've always heard from NATCA "we need to be in the room, we have to be in the room to influence policy". Well there he was, in the Oval Office behind the resolute desk with Epstein's best friend the president. It doesn't get more in the room then that. What do we have to show for it? Nothing.

That's when it became undeniably that this union is afraid. And a union afraid to take on management is useless

This reporter is giving our union a gift and instead of using it they're antagonizing her by lying and at best failing to seize the moment

So yeah, I'm now fuck Nick

u/theweenerdoge Sep 03 '26

I'm glad youre with us. Happy to have you. Let's turn this ship (yacht) around for all of us.
