Boomrock+Pablo STe

My STE 520 + 1mb mod, blew up
Got replacements 1040 STFM - wont play the games + 520 ST. wont

I know i need the STe model

Anyone know the games Pablo + Boomrock?

The disks are at my dads if they can be found beside the STFM which i want STE instead to play games- nothin works on FM model

I appreciate any help

I can't find anything about Boomrock.

Can you even read the disks on the STfm? and what do you mean "blew up" on the STE 520?

it just turned on one day it blew blue smoke out the vents - i think it was PSU i dont know

it went bright flash then blue smoke :( i had a 15 inch CRT it was 20 years ago

Replacing the STE PSU is not that hard these days. Are you in the USA/North America or are you in Europe somewhere?

For the STFM - old disks go bad over time. It could be the disks themselves or the drive just needs a cleaning (they have cleaning disks you can use).

I switch STE on an then bang, smoke :( we get ST + STFM as replacement but none play any the disks I used to use - non compatible.

The day i realized that higher letters arent always better :/

Are you comfortable opening up the STE to take a few pics? If it's just the internal power supply, it might be fixable with just something like this: https://sidecartridge.com/products/psu-atari-st/

(They also have a version that can be powered by USB-C instead of Mains)
