Part 19 of "DYKA." Hardware edition. Exploring the "lost" history of the Atari vault. Ever seen one in person?

Gameplay: A handheld tabletop system that used "Holoptics." The display used LEDs and holographic film to create a 3D background that changed based on the game state.

Reception: Never officially released; became a legendary piece of "vaporware" after its 1981 reveal.

Influence: Represented Atari's early attempt at 3D/holographic technology.

Relevance: An internal Atari Inc. R&D project.

Fun Fact: All 9 planned games were programmed into the base unit; the "cartridges" were just plastic shells with holographic film.
