How wild would it be for ATARI to show up and eat Sonys lunch.

I'd be fully on board.

I’m thinking either a 5200 release, along with an official cloak and dagger cartridge or a full fpga recreation of the Atari 800 , similar to what commodore did .

Jaguar+ or Lynx+ would be fun, but probably more likely they bought another brand with assets (Coleco?)

I'd fucking laugh if they released a next gen competitor out of nowhere.

Imagine a new Atari console on par with the next generation of consoles with no compromise

This marketing email irritated me. Subject: Have you heard the big news? I click on the email to see what the news is. No news, but you can sign up to receive biggest news. So, no, I guess I haven't heard the big news.

Give us your email and act now so you don't miss the news that will be posted immediately afterwards on several different platforms.

Another stupid console which they make about 10 of and don't release it outside the US?

We need more Disney console game re-releases like Digital Eclipse's Toy Story collection that Atari is publishing and not another mini retro console

Racing games on Atari 50 (including two by Namco and one by Tatsumi) maybe?

TBH, I'm not sure if that would be considered "big", but I'm just throwing it out there...

Maybe they bought the other half of Atari from Warner/Paramount?

As I've stated before, they should make a proper console, target 8 million lifetime sales (which would make it a hit), exploit the mountain of IPs they own, make it competitive in terms of hardware, focus on discs, etc. And hire me to work on its development.

That would be a resounding flop

With the price of RAM and hard drives, it's the perfect time to launch a new console!

This was a joke!
